This is hideous. We have to band together to stop Knox's jackbooted brown-shirted thugs.

Pro Knox

To the guy in Whitman – they weren’t 98 guys. I saw them leaving your house and they were wearing Nutter shirts! They broke into my house too and left my dog pregnant and dead. They have to be stopped!

Fattah for Evans' Nutter Butter

No Pro Knox, they were definitely Brady guys, they were union carpenters. I saw them go into Best Buy in South Philly and smash a whole row of TVs when a Knox ad aired. They stopped as soon as the commercial was over.

Fattah for Congress

Sounds like Doc has his infantile brown shirts working overtime on the street and on this site.

Dougerty and 98 are like a Trojan virus - let's all vote them out by not endorsing anyone they have "mostly Irish" candidates

Frank Keel

Can any of you anonymous accusers of IBEW Local 98 provide me with a scintilla of evidence to support your outrageous claims? I didn't think so.

Frank Keel

Frank Keel - you aren't a resident of Philadelphia and have no business being involved in our political affairs. Go back to your suburban McMansion!

You will say anything for money, no matter how stupid or destructive. People like you are responsible for Philadelphia's decline.

You've got alot of nerve to even show your ugly facce after your lies in 2003. It's time for you to sit down and shut up once and for all!

dude

It's quite entertaining to watch the Brady and Knox camps fight...

Apparently, the Knox and Blackwell deal was facilitated by some Local 98/Doc guy John Fenton who has relationships with both. He explained that Blackwell needed certain things in order to support Knox.

She said that in addition to being Council President, she needed a commitment that city services would be shifted to her constituency base.

In particular, she argued how could the 5th Police District have so many cops, when it is lowest crime in the city, when the 18th, 16th and 12th have so many problems. Apparently, Knox committed to a plan with Blackwell to re-allocate police in his first year as Mayor from the 5th, 7th, 8th, 2nd, and 15th districts to the 16th, 18th, 12th, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, and 39th districts.

Also, Blackwell wanted her rec. centers open 24 hours a day. Knox said that he could consolidate rec centers in more middle class neighborhoods in Northeast and Northwest to shift staffing to West and some to North.

They also got into other issues, and in particular, said that Blackwell as Council President would get some management oversight of the Managing Director to be able to have direct input in the allocation of resources and city services. She has felt that too few of the city plows in the snow have hit her district, for example.

In any case, the whole deal has been worked out and agreed to over the past three weeks, and Blackwell assured Knox she'd help with a quick budget process for this.

Just ask John Fenton, he brought the messages back and forth between Doc and Blackwell until the face-to-face meeting.

It will be ironic to see Knox elected in the Northeast, only to lead to the largest shift in services out of the Northeast in the city's history. And all this, because Knox needed a deal with Blackwell in West Philly to win.

Dear Anonymous:

Now you went and hurt my feelings, Anonymous. I only wish you had the guts to put your name behind your attacks, Anonymous. I suppose you'd like me to apologize for being effective. So sorry, Anonymous. I can only assume you're a Brady supporter who's feeling stung by the 527 controversy. Sorry for that, too, Anonymous. Maybe some day, when you grow up and grow a pair, we can have a genuine exchange of viewpoints. Until then, I guess you'll just have to keep typing your gutless, personal attack emails, Anonymous. Since you won't put your name on your rants, I'll assign you one: Coward.

Frank Keel

Dear NON-Philadelphia Resident Frank Keel:

How come you don't have the guts to live in Philadelphia?

Why do you create havoc in our city, then run home to your suburban mansion, which was paid for on the backs of Philadelphia's working families?

How come you continue to take money to spread lies and spin? Ever hear of slander and libel? You will be held accountable.

How come you are involved in a corrupt union of goons and thugs?

Frank Keel

Thanks for proving my point, Anonymous Coward.

Frank Keel

You have no point and no clue.

We, PHILADELPHIA RESIDENTS (unlike you), want straightforward answers to the questions, not lies and irrelevant spin.

Shame of a City - starring Frank Keel. You lied in 2003 and continue to lie today so you can line your suburban pockets on the backs of PHILADELPHIA's working families.

Hit the road, Jack@$$.

Dear Anonymous:

Are you really my favorite At-Large Council member and unabashed admirer of Bob Brady? The same one who wanted to undo the campaign finance laws at your mentor's behest? That's what I've been led to believe. Are you blogging on City Council's time or Vitetta Corporation's time? You double-dipping dog, you! I only wish I had your money. You and the shark should come clean!

Frank Keel

Ms. Deckerd

Mr. Keel. I have to say that after reading your posts to this blog, that I am profoundly disturbed. The purpose of this discussion thread was the "cause and effect" anonymous email posted above. The individual who sent this email placed a Brady sign in their window and was rewarded with smashed car windows.

Your response was not to denounce such a heinous act, nor to express sympathy for the victim. Rather, your first course of action was to essentially state "you can't prove I or local 98 had anything to do with this". Look at the first email (not the subsequent posts), there is no reference made to you or 98.

You then launched into your testosterone drenched blog posts, essentially "calling people out". Well, with your documented propensities... why would anyone in their right mind not stay anonymous?

Your blog posts are simply a disturbing display of the most base form of politics. No attempt to persuade. No attempt to engage in a dialogue. Simply vitriol laced screeds designed to pummel people into submission.

The amusing thing is, that in a digitial environment, the pen (or rather the keyboard) is mightier than the sword. Stripped of your boorish microphone hogging tactics, stripped of your legions, you are shown as nothing more than an angry child. (one that needs a spanking I might add)

To paraphrase something I remember from my childhood...

"Have you any decency Mr. Keel? Have you any decency at all?"

Ill answer for you. Apparently not.

Just a quick bit of refereeing, I can confirm within a .01% margin of error that the anonymous poster is not Jim Kenney. Unless he's gone back to a certain local college without telling anyone.

IP tracking, folks. IP tracking.
