The Supreme Court said today that it won't hear Tom Knox's second appeal of Bob Brady's place on the ballot.
I was kinda hoping he was tossed, only so that I could see Tom Knox and Dwight Evans sharing a podium together again. Those were the days.

Round 3. Knox loses, AGAIN. That would be because his suit is totally without merit. Knox appears to be a rich bully who is used to buying things, and cheating to get what he can’t buy. That is what is really going on with this ballot challenge. Knox is afraid of Bob Brady. Afraid of his past success, afraid of his good guy character, and afraid of the RESULTS that Bob Brady produces. While Knox was sitting around thinking of ways to cheat and get people thrown off the ballot, Brady is out working. In addition to doing his regular job in DC, he was taking the time to solve a strike and approve an energy policy (check it out here http://www.thenextmayor.com/documents/20070419_Brady_Plan_Energy_and_Sustainability.html)
If Knox was any sort of a worthwhile candidate, he would not be thinking of ways to buy and cheat the voters, he would be thinking of ways to win them over. However, every time I see him on TV, he comes across as someone with the personality of an angry rattlesnake, so maybe winning voters over isn’t his best bet. I agree with all THREE of the decisions “whenever possible, election contests should be decided by the hand of the voter in the election booth and not by the pen of the judge in the judicial chamber”. You know, I don’t care if he wastes his time, or the time of his lawyers (who are they anyway, Dewey, Cheatum, and Howe?), what I really mind is he’s wasted the time of the taxpayers, and the courts. These courts need to be dealing with serious issues, not those of a scared little boy who’s pouty cause he can’t buy the judiciary.

You are right Catherine - hey -what's that I smell" Oh -it's Jonny Doc and the fake me out union thugs! You can smell their stink a mile away. I am very sure that the next slimy move -will be for the Jonny Evil to endorse knox. If he does I hope everyone and I mean everyone, holds Local 98 accountable - stop making money for his mindless thugs -they are no longer a union -what are they going to do beat people up? Of course - how silly of me -that is what knox pays them to do!

I'm sure Knox can ask the US Supreme Court to hear the case on certiorari. He's very much like GWB. Just like the way he answered that question on Sunday about making a mistake--"I've never made a mistake in my life." That is a very telling statement by him about what the City would be like if he was Mayor--go the wrong way and just keep on going.

amen to that, voice of the people.
it seems, there is a growing list of comaprisons between the man squatting in the whitehouse and tom knox.
hatred of government services, except those that might benefit him directly is certainly close to the top of the list.
buying votes is up there too.
hmmm
how bout, the total absence of qualifications?
judicial acitivism as opposed to open democratic contest as a way to attack superior competitors...
contempt for the law?
no public service experience whatstoever, in fact a resume which only shows a contempt for the public, especially those who have to work for a living?
(im just riffing here)
oh, wait, i got one more: theyre both republicans!
should we create a new string for this apparently prodigous comparison?
