Jesus White may be getting some help in his mayoral campaign.
White, who lists his address as a Center City homeless shelter (he says he's "between housing") could get a bump in the polls after Project H.O.M.E.'s homeless and low-income voter registration drive Monday morning.
OK, so the initiative is designed to help educate the homeless on their voting rights and not to help White. But this would seem to present a wonderful get out the vote opportunity for him.
Even if White doesn't consider our genius strategy, the initiative is a noble one from Project H.O.M.E. The group plans to "launch a voter registration and education campaign that will dispatch a fleet of vans to the city's shelters, soup kitchens, and health centers to register and educate thousands of potential voters."
The deadline to register to vote, by the way, is April 16.
