The city's independent Ethics Board is taking some court action this afternoon.
The board said in a press release just sent that it filed an enforcement action in the Court of Common Pleas against the Appreciation Fund PAC, fronted by Councilwoman and Democratic Party secretary Carol Campbell, for not electronically filing a campaign finance report with the city by an April 4 deadline set in an agreement with the board.
The original missed deadline was Feb. 15.
"We have generally recieved cooperation to date from most candidates and PACs," the board's chair, Richard Glazer, said in the release. "And this is a step we had hoped to avoid. But in this case, we had no choice."
The Appreciation Fund contributed to local candidates in the May primary, according to reports filed with the Department of State.
